Six students from FLASS awarded in President’s Commendation Scheme
It is FLASS’s belief that education is not only about teaching our students hard knowledge but also about nurturing them with the heart to explore new areas, serve the community, and excel in other non-academic fields.
In the President’s Commendation Scheme for the academic year 2021/22, four students from our faculty were granted the President’s Commendation Award for their non-academic achievements, while two students received the President’s Appreciation Award. The Scheme was established to provide university-level recognition of students’ outstanding performance in non-academic areas, including arts and culture, community service, leadership, sports and innovation, and science and technology.
EdUHK President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung congratulated the awardees on their achievements. Praising their efforts in pursuit of excellence, he said, “The University is dedicated to promoting students’ whole-person development, and the Scheme is part of our endeavours to recognise students’ versatility apart from academic achievements. I am pleased to see our students unlocking possibilities through their talents, creativity and passion.”
The President’s Commendation Scheme Award is open to all full-time students enrolled at EdUHK. Since its inception in 2010, over 120 students and groups have been awarded.
Please join us in giving them a round of applause for their exceptional achievement.
